# Meet Lucy

Some people dream about epic adventures. I live for them.

I’m that friend who you joke with about doing something crazy, but then actually attempts to do it.

I am happiest when I’m sweaty and tired in the mountains. I like trying to find my limit, then pushing past it. I’m stubborn like a mule and have a fear of failure, but I’m trying to get past that.

I’m inspired by other fierce women who are blazing a trail, pushing boundaries and shattering stereotypes. And I’m hoping to do the same for others.

I’ve cycled [the length of the UK](https://adventurouslucy.com/the-blog1/categories/lejog/), travelled across [Europe](https://adventurouslucy.com/the-blog1/categories/__europe/) and the [USA](https://adventurouslucy.com/northamerica/), and had countless mini adventures. Now, in 2019, I’m going BIG. We’re talking an Epic Adventure. I’ll be running the length of New Zealand along the [Te Araroa](https://adventurouslucy.com/te-araroa/). 3,000km in one hit.

And I’ll be the first Australian woman to have ever done it.

I won’t lie – I’m a little nervous. But sometimes, you just have to leave your fears at the door and push beyond what you ever believed possible. That’s where the good stuff really begins.

If you’d rather be an armchair traveller, that’s cool too. Pour yourself a gin and follow the adventure on [my blog](https://adventurouslucy.com/the-blog1/).

Tighten your laces – let’s go!
